Manager Materials Responsibilities Materials Planning:
Develop and implement strategic materials planning strategies to meet production demands while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
Inventory Management:
Optimize inventory levels by closely monitoring demand forecasts, production schedules, and supplier performance.
Supplier Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, negotiate favorable terms, and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
Purchase Order Management:
Oversee the creation and processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, and coordinating with vendors to meet delivery timelines.
Cost Optimization:
Collaborate with the finance team to identify cost-saving opportunities in the procurement and materials management process.
Quality Control:
Work with quality assurance teams to ensure that incoming materials meet established quality standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Foster effective communication and collaboration between production, warehouse, and purchasing teams to ensure seamless materials flow.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement within the materials management function and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
Lead Time Reduction:
Implement strategies to reduce lead times, minimize production delays, and support on-time deliveries to customers.
Data Analysis:
Analyze supply chain data and key performance indicators to identify trends, make data-driven decisions, and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
A Master's degree is a plus.

years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, materials planning, and inventory management.
Familiarity with ERP systems and materials planning software.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and leverage data for informed decision-making.
Results-driven and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Leadership abilities to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
Ability to adapt to changing business needs and implement solutions effectively.
